A one-year course that provides students with a practical foundation in music performance and technology. Workshops by industry specialists happen regularly throughout the year to provide the learner with real world experiences. The HND in Music Performance is aimed at musicians with a strong background in performing and writing music. The program aims to give the student plenty of performance opportunities in different venues and bands, have their own music performed and get their music recorded to the highest standard.

This course offers you the chance to gain in depth knowledge of the tools to record, mix, produce and create music. Microphone techniques, mixing techniques, sound design live electronic music are some of the areas covered on this course. At SERC-MAPA we have up to date, industry standard equipment on which to practice and gain serious hands on experience.

Electronic Music Production - 10 Weeks
This is an introductory course into the world of creating and recording music with the use of computers. We will be covering MIDI sequencing, virtual instruments, audio recording, effects processors, mixing and mastering. This is a leisure course so we will try and tailor the course to your individual needs as much as possible. So if you are an interested beginner or someone who wants to brush up on some new skills this is the course for you.

NOCN Guitar - 30 Weeks
This course is suited to anyone over 16, the only requirement is enthusiasm. If you have ever wanted to pick up the guitar, join a band or just simply play for your own pleasure, this course is for you. The course will focus on various guitar techniques, basic skills of strumming and picking and following basic tabs. Available in Bangor, Ballyboley, Downpatrick, and Lisburn.
