The competition, hosted by North  West Regional College in Derry - Londonderry saw entries from all 6 regional colleges. SERC managed an outstanding tally of 2 first places, 3 second places and narrowly missing on second place in the covers band competition.

Hannah Butterfield, 2nd year ext diploma in music student faced stiff competition but unanimously won the first prize from a jury comprised of music lecturers and Stuart Bailie, prominent Irish music critic and radio ulster presenter.
David Taylor won the live electronic category, whilst Jacob Keenan- Livingston came second in the Sound Design category. Both are second year ext diploma in music technology students.

In the DJ category Dillon Dean, level 2 diploma in music came second, a great result given that his was the youngest competitor in his category.

Last but not least, Villanova Junction, blues trio comprising Corey Hodges on drums, Josh Bickerstaff on Bass and Joel Harris on Guitar and Vocals came second in the highly competitive Originals Band competition. These three students have come through the ranks of our Level 2 in Music and are now in their first year L3 Extended Diploma in Music.
